3. Hip extensions are another great exercise to tone up your butt, but they may be difficult to do in your home. To do these you need to be able to lay down with your hips supported while your legs dangle free. You may be able to this by laying face down on your bed or at the top of a staircase. These are also known as flutter kicks because you move your legs as if you are swimming. If you have access to a pool, they can be done while holding on to the side. The waters resistance makes them that much more effective.


These are just a few of the exercises you can do to improve the appearance of your backside. Like any fitness routine, the exercise to firm up your butt work only as well as you do. If you do not do them seriously and on a regular basis, you will not notice any improvement at all.
